YELLOW CITY COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Make a Difference Today

YCCO wants to spread a message of love, hope, and compassion. We believe that a single action can make a difference in the community and that collective action can have a great impact on the world. Through advocacy and outreach activities, we work daily to contribute our part to the greater good.

It is a reality that ending homelessness means that we develop and actively work on a plan that closes the front door, which is poverty.

During COVID, we saw firsthand some of the gaps that lead to the door of homelessness and began shifting our focus to working in the community to close them.  Education and mentorship help achieve a feeling of community, which builds confidence and hope.

As a community, we can help create a different future; we have the power to stop generational cycles.

Uplifting The Community

With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential. We love our neighbors, and we love what we do.

We are out in the community supplying needs to our unsheltered homeless, recently housed individuals and families, and those who need a little extra encouragement, a box of food, or a blanket.

We love gardening and providing ease of access by giving vegetables away with our community partner Amarillo Garden Collective.
